Diablo IV's next quarterly update will focus on endgame system and visual effects of which Shely notes that there's "a many things we're looking forward to reveal." Diablo: Resurrected, a faithful remake of the legendary RPG D2R Items, with new graphics as well as smaller quality-of life improvements, was released on September 23rd. Diablo IV does not currently have an expected release date.

"However the changes, as well as new opportunities to improve our game experience won't be made available within the 2021 timeline we previously communicated," Blizzard says. "So the game is now set to release in the first half of 2022. which will allow us to make significant improvements for the entire game."

Blizzard continues to detail the various changes coming to the game. Regarding PvE, Diablo Immortal will receive new raids with eight players. It is also adjusting the game's current Bounty system, making Challenge Rifts more rewarding.

In the realm of PvP, Blizzard will be tweaking certain aspects of its Battlegrounds system, as along with that of the game's faction-based Cycle of Strife. The game's overall advancement systems, including that of Paragon system, and weekly cap on XP are also in the pipeline.

Though Diablo Immortal will no longer come out until 2023. the remastered Diablo 2: Resurrected is still slated to release on September 23rd, for the PC and console. Diablo 4 remains in development and doesn't currently have a release window.
